April Butterflies

The warm morning brought out lots of butterflies. This is a painted lady on a crabapple blossom.

The underside of the painted lady's wing is as pretty as the top.

Admiral butterfly in a crabapple tree. This is the same tree where a robin in nesting.

There were at least 5 Admirals on this crabapple tree this morning.

It was cool enough in the morning that they had their wings open to catch the sun

The robins nest now has 2 eggs. She just sat on the nest while I was taking the butterfly photos and didn't seem bothered.
