Chrysalis on Jul 31st
Same chrysalis as above on Jul 31st.

At 8 am on Aug 1st, the chrysalis were much darker. By 8:45, both butterflies were out of the crysalis and drying their wings. By 11 am they had both taken their first shaky flights and rested a while before taking more test flights. By 2 pm, they had left our yard. Both appeared to be females.
