Downy Woodpecker
Downy Woodpeckers are a small (6-7 in) woodpecker that are found throughout North America.
They will readily come to backyard suet feeders.
The males have a red patch on the back of their heads.
They feed mainly on insects which they find in the bark of trees.
Female Cardinal hiding among the branches.
A Blue Jay has been enticed to visit with some corn.
